From the Gym to the Snow

The days of body weight circuits and crushing sit-ups are over. If your strength plan hasn't been updated you can't expect big improvements on the snow.

During Newell's 16 years experience with the US Ski Team he has learned from strength and conditioning master Tschana Schiller. Their approach combines general athletics strength training and transferring it into specific speed, power, and efficiency on the snow. Modern strength training now focuses on improving the three pillars of ski technique: Stable, Stacked, Dynamic
