What direction should your skate push go? We get this question all the time, but the answer is not so black and white. The direction of a skate push depends on the skiers forward velocity. The slower a skier is moving the wider their V will be while skating. This is true in V1 and V1 techniques.
When skiers are moving at a higher velocity across the snow we can afford to make our V more narrow, and this will affect the direction of the skate push.
