Week 5

Our NTS week 5 is designed as a medium week encompassing a wide variety of training.

Week 5 introduces our first rollerski speed session of the off season along with two more specific strength or technique focused Rollerski workouts. This will be our last week on the Anatomical Adaptation strength routine before we switch over to 4 weeks of General Strength. This week's threshold recommendation is hiking with poles which can be done either bounding or a simple hike. 

GOAL:
- Medium week with moderate volume and a mix of speed, threshold, and Specific strength. 
- Have two cross training Over Distance workouts to build general volume 
- Threshold hiking with poles - all body threshold 
- Two distance workouts with elements of specific strength. Longer distance DP on Friday and a distance with no pole skating on Saturday.
