Week 12

This week we reduce total training volume and focus on a few skill building sessions. Check out our new skate agility speed workout designed to help athletes improve corning and pack skiing. We recommend a unique L3 interval set workout that will help you increase high speed efficiency and specific strength. As we build to some of our biggest volume training weeks of the summer, let's review WHY base training is so important. Dr. Sarah Willis explains in her article Development of Blood Vessels - The How And Why.

Note that all training plans are virtually the same this week. Everyone needs to cut back on training to ensure our bodies are absorbing adaptations. We substitute one strength session with our Skier's Core routine and will start a new Power Strength phase next week!
