As we get into mid-August our training volume will increase while also touching on some faster paced intensity. August is the time of year when skiers implement more short high intensity interval sessions known as
Sprint Intensity. It is common in August for our training plans to recommend one controlled L3 interval session and one sprint intensity each week. This week our primary focus is easy distance and over-distance training with technique work. Check out our

Skate Skip Drill. ** Note** On high volume weeks we often recommend one strength session in the masters plan. This is to make the most of people's busy schedules if your training time is capped at one session per day. If you have time to fit in a second strength session this week, go for it!
