Week 30

This week we kick off a two week training block and the culmination of our preparation phase. If you are new to NTS that's OK! We start the training year on May 1st and we refer to the first 32 weeks of the training year as the preparation phase. Our training will still ramp up throughout November and December during the competition phase. We use the first 32 weeks as a bench mark to measure hours and intensity distribution. (for more into look up NTS outlines within the Resources) 

This week we build volume and focus on two interval sessions. Check out the Federico Pellegrino session for a perfect pre-season interval workout to build fitness and speed. Many of us are currently transitioning to snow or will be soon. During this time we focus on building technique fundamentals and prioritize building comfort in terrain transitions. 

WORKOUT REPLACEMENTS: 
If you are new to NTS, remember: Rollerski sessions can be replaced with different modalities to suit your comfort level or if the weather is not cooperating. 
Classic rollerski sessions can be replaced with hiking w/ poles, treadmill walking, running. 
Skate rollerski sessions can be replaced with cycling, swimming. 
Double pole sessions can be replaced with Skierg, swimming
