In week 44 our Masters and Junior plans are very different. On the master's side we will focus on recovery, especially for those who have just finished the Birkie. Those of you who did not race the Birkie and are preparing for World Masters make sure to check out the entry by Betsy and Bob Youngman. So what should you do for training after a big marathon? Our masters plan this week is a good example. Active recovery is very beneficial for skiers looking to bounce back quickly from a big race week. Notice how we recommend a longer distance recovery ski on Tuesday and then an additional off day for recovery rather than two off days in a row.
