This week our training goals revolve around building comfort on snow and building efficiency. If you are not able to ski on snow yet you can replace interval sessions with hiking, bounding, or erging. Each on-snow session can include some no pole skiing and drills. Check out the Early Season Skate Step video and V1 Compression video. While the race season might be near we still recommend keeping up with strength training in the gym before we transition to in-season strength plans. This is the final week of the preparation phase and interestingly the Junior, Master, and Elite training plans all match up this week. This is because the elite plan tapers slightly for early season racing while the maters and junior plans continue to build.
