Week 34

This week we reduce total training time but increase our focus on technique and specific strength. It's important to give your body time to adjust to on-snow skiing and train proper movement early in the race season. Check out our balance drills for skating video plus some simple skate poling drills to help skiers gain comfort cycling through various techniques. With just one interval session recommended we prescribe some mid-week specific strength. This time of year, we also like to keep in touch with some light running sessions for elite skiers making short distance days a great opportunity to include a short jog.
