After a solid week of intensity it's time to keep the pedal down and settle into one of our last 'volume bumps' of late summer. This week we will focus on more easy distance training and over distance sessions. Our interval sessions will prioritize threshold on-time and efficiency. (Junior and master plans have one L3 session, elite has two)
We continue with power based strength and transition into power based training on skis with weighted sled pulls. (if you do not have a sled you can also contrast uphill speeds and downhill)
NOTES:
- Especially after intensity weeks it becomes crucial to keep threshold (L3) sessions this week controlled and within the zone
- To focus on more volume training the masters plan cuts out one strength session
