Week 21

Our goal during this medium / intensity week is to capitalize on quality sessions like interval and speed days. Total training hours are not the priority, instead tailor your easy days to make sure you feel good when it counts. We introduce our foot acceleration training part two, distance skiing with reaction speeds, a controlled L3 interval day, and skate sprint intensity. 
Aside from the L3 threshold day this week is designed to stress the neuromuscular system in a new ways with lots of short high intensity before we load up with more easy distance training next week. 





























































- If your legs are not feeling up for acceleration training substitute with a rollerski and speed. Or easy distance run. 

- If you are feeling good increase your sprint intensity reps on Saturday. 3 x 10 x 30 seconds or even 3 x 11 x 30 seconds. At this point in the year skiers should feel like they can recover better and better between these short intervals.
