week 34

This week is categorized as a medium week with moderate volume and solid intensity. Looking ahead we will continue with higher volume during the Holiday week to take advantage of time away from work and school. Our goals is to focus on quality interval sessions this week, then more easy distance 'fun' skiing next week. 

This week we recommend reverse natural intervals, a great early season session that will build comfort on skis, refine efficiency, and help prepare athletes for correct pacing during races. Remember to always make technique training a priority during the first few weeks of winter and set aside some time for drills and no-pole skiing on a regular basis. We hit some L4 double poling on the weekend to both build Vo2max capacity and specific strength before the race season.
