Week 40

Welcome to week 40 of the training year! So far this winter our Junior, Master, and Elite training plans have followed a similar periodization but this is the time of year when we start to adjust each of these plans. Our Masters plan will focus on a 5-week Birkie peaking plan and our Junior plan will do the same in a few weeks leading up to Junior Nationals. 

This week our Masters plan moves into a 14-day training block to help skiers prepare for the Birkie (see Birkie Preparation entry) The junior and Elite plans will focus on recovery early in the week before incorporating some high intensity sprint intervals and a TT on the weekend.
