Training this week might look different depending on whether or not you have more competitions scheduled this season. Like we discussed last year at this time, even if skiers are done competing it's still important that they continue to work on race fitness and technique through the month of March if ski conditions allow. This will allow athletes to bridge their fitness from one training season to the next. Rest and time off is important, but as long as skiers are feeling healthy and able, that time off is better served in April.
This week the Junior and Masters plans are designed for the non-racers. This week we incorporate an L3-bumb session to help extend fitness into the spring. On the Elite side we have built the plan around finial FIS race weekends across the country. If you are an elite racer who is not competing it would be a good idea to do some TT's this weekend.
