The season is winding down for most of us making week 48 the last 'real' training week of the year. In the weeks to come we will focus our attention on recovery, maintaining ski fitness, and discuss ways to plan for a successful 2022 season.
The Masters and Junior plans incorporate one last long hard effort (just like we did last year). This is a fun way to test your skiing fitness one last time, cover as many K's as you can:) , and just have fun going fast! We recommend a 25 - 50K effort on the weekend. This doesn't need to be a true TT - start with an easy warm up and begin your session in L1/2 before building into L3 and even L4 for a long sustained effort. Don't forget to fuel!
The Elite plan focuses on some recovery early in the week and will incorporate a long hard effort next week. Look for new spring strength plans and spring training ideas next week!
