Week 40

This week we enter the second week of our training block phase. This mid-winter training block is designed to help athletes prepare for major competitions and marathon races in February. Both the master and elite plans will follow a similar volume-based structure this week with one double pole specific strength interval day and our second Birkie prep interval session. We launch a special strength plan to be used during the next two weeks of our training block phase. This plan is designed to 'check back in' with max strength and build power. Remember to use easy distance days to work on technique adjustments (see V2 push and Direction of Skate Push videos)





























***NOTE: IF you have a local race this week in your region that's great! If the race is short replace Wednesday's workout with the Birkie Prep session 2. If the race is 20+km the race can replace the Birkie Prep session.
