Week 44

This week the master and elite plans focus on sharpening sessions in preparation for the Birkie or other championship events. What is the difference between tapering and sharpening? We discuss the most common approaches to championship peaking and recommend a go-to workout for marathons or World Championships. The junior plan implements one more week of a training block before it tapers off for the Junior National peaking plan. In our final Birkie prep week we look at feeding and drafting strategies for mass start races.
