While the end of summer might be in sight, our primary focus in August is still on easy-distance base training. For many skiers August is the largest training volume month of the year before we shift our focus toward faster paced intensity, time trials, and building race fitness. This week we use L3 intervals and L1 distance days to build mitochondria and efficiency. What kind of adaptation is our body making in these training zones?
