Week 7 is categorized as a 'test' week which will focus on high intensity early in the week. Incorporating some max effort or L4 intervals every two weeks in June is a good way to maintain aerobic capacity and also provide a great opportunity for testing. Feld tests are one of the best ways to monitor a skier's fitness in the off-season. (check out Double Pole Test Protocol for more info) This week's double pole test recommendation is appropriate for all ages, all abilities, skate skier or classic skier.
Both the Junior and Master plans will focus on easy distance training and strength for the remainder of the week while the Elite skiers will add in more L3 training on the weekend. With more volume training scheduled for next week the Junior and Elite plans will take two off days this week before making big step up in hours next week.

- June general strength continues. Try to step up the weight in both day 1 and 2 routines
- Remember to use easy distance days to also work on technique
