We kick off July with a Hard week! This week incorporates some solid training hours with a touch of L4 in the Junior, Masters, and Elite plans. Even with the ski season 6 months away it's still important to plan some harder interval sessions to increase our V02max as we continue to build our aerobic efficiency.
The classic speed session will focus on uphill striding, bounding, and running. Test your ski running skills with the drills outlined in the Can You Run Like Klaebo? video. We also continue with our second week of max strength and recommend at least one DP only workout.
Notes:
- The Elite plan calls for a second intensity session for the week. 2 x 20 mins steady state L3
- Use the bounding drills outlined in the Can You Run Like Klaebo video to finish off the L4 bounding session. 6-8 x 5 seconds all out running with poles sprints to work on foot speed and ground contact!
