This week the masters and junior plans focus on moderate intensity, skate technique, and a race or TT effort. At this point in the winter, junior training plans can be fairly straight forward. We encourage young skiers to spend 1-3 days per week focusing on easy skiing and technique, 1 speed day, 1 moderate L3 intensity day, and one TT or local race per week. The masters plan will kick off our 6 week Birkie preparation plan next week which will incorporate a training block and taper phase. The elite plan has one more week of race before transitioning into a mid winter training block phase.
