Week 3

During our first hard week of the training year we recommend some baseline testing. We use three tests to measure improvement throughout the training year. A strength test, uphill run test, and double pole test. (we will wait until week 7 of the training year to test DP). Spring testing can also include a lactic acid profile test to determine an athlete's training zones. This week we outline protocols for each test and recommend our first controlled L3 rollerski intervals of the year. We check in from the US Ski Team and BSF on-snow training camp in Bend to highlight an activation speed session that can be done on rollerskis or snow.
